Wayne Powell, SRUC Principal and CEO noted that, ‘We are an ambitious institution with a bold vision for the future. This is a ground-breaking model to expand access to educational opportunities and broaden the range of potential students who would not ordinarily be able to attend a School of Veterinary Medicine. It will also help solve existing skills shortages across Scotland’.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide administrative co-ordination for BVSci Extra-Mural Studies (EMS), who will be key to the smooth and efficient running of EMS for students. The postholder will also be required to undertake general administrative duties in support of wider School of Veterinary Medicine programmes.

The role primarily provides administrative co-ordination for the EMS element of the BVSci programme involving around 300 students. There will be a requirement to deal regularly with highly confidential and sensitive information. Liaison with EMS placement providers such as farms and vet practices will be a key part of the role.
