Are you passionate about science and looking to make a significant impact in an innovative and renowned institution? LJMU is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Science Technician, supporting our chemistry, analytical and pharmaceutical facilities.
As a technician, you will work in close partnership with senior colleagues, providing invaluable support to academic staff and other members of the technical team. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of teaching activities and research projects within the Faculty. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment, contributing to the advancement of education and research in this dynamic field.
Collaboration and teamwork will be a key to your success in this role. You will work closely with academic staff, assisting them by ensuring that all equipment is appropriately maintained and calibrated. Your expertise in a range of scientific skills will be invaluable in providing technical support and guidance, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy in our teaching and research endeavours.
We are looking for a highly skilled individual with a strong background in science with specific expertise in a chemistry or chemistry related field. Your knowledge and hands-on experience in laboratory techniques & preparation, instrumentation and data analysis will be essential in supporting our academic endeavours.
Your ability to work independently, as well as part of a collaborative team, will be crucial in this role. You should be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess excellent organisational skills. As a technician, you will play a key role in maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring their efficient operation, and ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and students.
