We are currently looking for a BI Specialist (08:00 - 16:00) to join our team based in Burton Upon Trent.
This is a permanent role Monday – Friday (with flexibility around peak periods) with a salary of £30,000
Tasks and responsibilities:
Key tasks
Mentoring and support of the Data and Systems Analysts
Responsible for the quality of the QBR, MBR, KPI and OTIF reports
To produce data and reports that meet with the predefined standards including naming conventions, use of DWH data sources and the application of dashboard templates
Responsible for the training of Operations Super Users
To provide best practice advice to Operations Super Users
To produce data and reports as requested and in accordance to agreed SLA’s
To provide support to operational teams in the preparing of floor plans offering new options/features
To facilitate the achievement of set KPI’s throughout the warehouse through systemic solutions, clear processes and data
To work with IT to ensure mechanisms are in place to support the above
To proactively identify issues through interrogating data and providing solutions and owning the issues until it is resolved
To keep a critical eye on the daily/ weekly volumes and work closely with the operational managers to ensure that the necessary diligence has taken place with regards to daily/ weekly planning
To keep a critical eye on the KPI achievement through the shift and work closely with the operational managers to ensure that all KPI’s are on track
To participate in the daily/ weekly planning meetings, providing feedback on KPI performance; issues and solutions
To ensure that processes are in place and monitored that ensure the correct flow through the warehouse in a way that minimises cost and maximises efficiency
To participate in event planning and execution
To ensure all changes in the WMS systems are communicated with the BI Team and escalated to the Central BI Team
Ensures operational administration tasks are undertaken in a timely way
To promote and create a continuous improvement culture through identifying areas for improvements and positively acting on them
Is able to tell a ‘data story’ based on knowledge of specific clients
Is involved in the project lifecycle from a data and systems perspective
Knowledge of site-specific client WMS’s, systems, solutions, processes and reporting requirements
Key skills/ experience
Knowledge of all the systems used at assigned site, e.g. PKMS/ RP/ JDA/ BRP/ Evolve
Advanced knowledge of Tableau
The flexibility to move between systems as workload dictates
