We are currently looking for exceptional people to join our team and have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Manager.

As a Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the on-going maintenance programmes of the hotel, ensuring company and legal standards are adhered to.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years’ experience in a similar position and have extensive

knowledge of maintenance management procedures, standards and principles. Excellent management skills are essential along with outstanding communication skills.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

  • Responsible for all maintenance activities, you will liaise with Management and supervisors to ensure the general upkeep and maintenance in all areas of the hotel.
  • Ensure both internal and external maintenance work is carried out in line with the required standards.
  • Delivering KPI improvements in line with agreed standard operating procedures, always working to reduce environmental impact
  • Maintain effective planning and checking of daily, weekly and monthly periodic activity.
  • To be familiar with the layout/ plan of the hotel and the working of all equipment in the building.
  • To be aware of the maintenance contracts in place with the relevant companies.
  • To conduct checks of the emergency procedures and equipment.
  • To ensure a stock of regularly used maintenance supplies is available.
  • Take water, gas and electricity readings.
  • You will be required to take the lead on health and safety matters along with being responsible for managing security arrangements throughout the hotel.

Requirements of the role:

  • Maintenance management experience within a hotel or accommodation services area.
  • Flexibility – to enjoy working different shift patterns (weekends may be necessary)
  • Good people skills – can work well within a team.
  • Organised and can multi task in a fast paced environment.
  • The ability to manage your own workload and be self-motivated while working alone or in a small team.
  • Responsible and trustworthy attitude, you will have access to all customer areas and be responsible for ensuring the environment is safe for guests and colleagues.
