Summary
This is a new post to meet the current and growing demand in Paediatric Radiology services. The appointee will add to a team of 4 whole and part time paediatric radiologists providing the full spectrum of diagnostic and a growing interventional procedure portfolio.
The paediatric radiology team encourage flexible and cooperative working, with an extended team of other allied professionals and excellent relationships with colleagues in radiology, surgery, paediatrics and neonatology to maintain and develop the service for children.
This post could be tailored to suit alocum or less than full time role, and portfolio careers are encouraged in the team. Development of specialist interests is also encouraged.
If the appointee is not a UK CCT holder, they will be expected to work towards CCT in clinical radiology via the CESR route within an agreed period. Progress towards this goal will be reviewed regularly.
The new appointee will be based at Hull Royal Infirmary. This role provides the next step in expending the paediatric radiology services to the wider network area and supporting the on-call service.
They are active in education, training, research and international speaking.
In 2026, the team will host the British Society of Paediatric Radiology Annual Scientific Meeting.
