Summary
A full time live in carer is needed by an elderly client based in Camden to assist with personal care duties and provide companionship. Someone who speaks Polish would be ideal for this position. This is temporary and the carer will be working for around 2 weeks.
Working hours: 7 days a week, 12 hours per day with minimum 2 hours breaks.
Duties include:
assisting the client in and out of bed
assisting with personal care such as washing
toileting, and dressing
administering medication (list provided)
providing companionship and ensuring the client is safe and comfortable at all times
ensuring the client is sat up during the day to prevent liquid going into his lungs and doing daily exercise (standing and sitting with the use of the sara steady)
he sometimes requires pain killers and water at night so the carer may be required to get up a few times.
general housekeeping duties including dusting and hoovering of all rooms, cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms etc
ensuring all appliances are in working order
ensuring the home is kept tidy
loading the dishwasher as needed
laundry and ironing as needed
sweeping and cleaning the small terrace to avoid any flooding
light cooking is required as the client is now mainly intaking purees, soups
making tea/coffee
ensuring the client is hydrated
administering juices, soups and vitamin drinks
They require someone who has a valid UK residence permit. The ideal start date is on the 14th of September.
