- Sunday, working between 14:00 and 20:00 Monday to Saturday and between 09:30 and 17:30 on Sundays. Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturdays and Sundays.

As part of our rotational shift schedule, you’ll work on weekends, which will be confirmed to you with your rota based on demand.

A typical day
It’s a very physical job – but it keeps you fit. Every day, you’ll begin at the Delivery Office sorting letters and parcels for delivery. Then you’ll load up your van and set off into the local community. You’ll get your steps in delivering door to door. You might also collect mail from customers and our cherished letter boxes along the way before returning to the office.

Skills/ExperienceWe’ll provide your full uniform, an iconic red post van, and all the training and support you’ll need to succeed. Here’s what you’ll need to bring to the role:

- Self-motivated: you’re upbeat and able to work unsupervised.
- Organised and punctual: you demonstrate great initiative and work well within tight timelines.
- Customer service: you’re committed to delivering excellent service when interacting with customers.
- Active: you’re happy lifting / moving mail bags of 10kg or more, walking for long periods and working outside in any weather (our Posties walk an average of 12 miles a day!)
- Community spirited: you care about your community and take pride in what you do.
- Valid UK driving license: You hold a full manual driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
