We are looking for a Housekeeping Assistant. Cleeve Court is a modern Community Resource Centre (CRC) based in Bath, Somerset which is registered to provide care and support for residents needing residential and dementia care. It is easily via Public Transport from Bath City Centre.

This is a permanent role of 15 hours per week and operates on set fixed two weekly rolling rota.

What is a Community Resource Centre (CRC)?

Bath and North East Somerset have three care homes which are Community Resource Centres located in Bath and Midsomer Norton. Each Community Resource Centre includes a residential care home for between 30 and 45 people, and these homes provide important services to older people in our community. We provide care and health services in a comfortable, safe environment for older vulnerable adults with a variety of disabilities, including dementia.

Cleeve Court

Cleeve Court is a purpose built 30 bedded residential care home. We support older adults living with varying degrees of frailty and a diagnosis of Dementia in a homely environment. Cleeve Court is situated in Twerton, Bath and is based over 2 floors. It is easily accessible by public transport.

The post holder will:

Assist other colleagues in promoting and maintaining a supportive living environment to meet the needs of vulnerable older adults including those with dementia and other cognitive impairments.

Carry out domestic tasks which maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness throughout the care home, considering the wishes of services users.

This will include:

- Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas

- Making beds

- Operating cleaning equipment, e.g., vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners

- Undertake a laundry service for residents and a general laundry service for the care home, which will include sorting and washing laundry, ironing, operating laundry equipment, e.g., washers and dryers, irons

- Cleaning soft furnishings within the home

- Keep up-to-date written records.

As part of a team, you will help to develop appropriate and professional relationships with residents, visitors, and carers, which value them as individuals, including establishing and maintaining effective communication.
