• Activities for families during school holidays and at weekends, with occasional evening activities.
• Counselling support for families
• Play Therapy supporting d/Deaf children
• A programme of family friendly sign language courses and workshops We run regular family sign courses. These courses are designed to teach families how to use British Sign Language in everyday family life with topics such as family members, names, greetings, food, mealtimes, numbers, colours, emotions/feelings, hospital, doctors, dentist, appointments, how to ask questions and lots more!
We run our sessions both online via zoom and face to face. This course is open to the whole family.
• FCDC’s Young people have formed a group they regularly meet up and spend time with their Deaf peers. These meetups run once a month, usually on a Friday evening.
Activities have included Bowling, locked in a room, High ropes, Games nights, Trips to the cinema and an annual weekend away.
