Trainee Urgent Care Practitioner - Band 6- Automatic uplift to Band 7 on qualification
• Are you ready to take your first steps into autonomously assessing, investigating, diagnosing, treating, and expertly caring for patients at the Urgent Treatment Centre?
• Are you willing to undertake a comprehensive training package, fully supported in practice to become a fully qualified Urgent Care Practitioner?
• If yes, join our collaborative UTC team, where you'll actively contribute to meeting patients' diverse needs, championing the seamless delivery of policies and procedures, and providing invaluable nurse leadership when it matters most.
• As the post holder, you'll engage in comprehensive assessment, treatment, care, and education for patients of all ages, ensuring a high-quality patient-centred service.
• This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand new staff group at Kingston Hospital Urgent Treatment Centre who will help develop and grow this already high performing service.
• This post will also offer the exciting opportunity for cross site working with our partner UTC based at Teddington Memorial Hospital.
• As the post holder, you'll embark on a journey of autonomous practice, consistently delivering high-quality, timely, and patient-centred care that makes a real difference.
• Training will comprise of both local and university courses and you will be supported in practice by established urgent care practitioners, advanced practitioners, emergency doctors and GPs.
• Your will lead by example, making sure that every moment of care aligns with our Trust's core values.
• In addition, your sharp expertise will shine as you identify the need for essential diagnostic tests and expertly interpret their results, including laboratory and radiography investigations.
• Collaboration is at the heart of your role, working seamlessly with all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure our care practices are evidence-based and continuously pushing the boundaries of excellence through innovative quality improvement programs.
