Job Purpose: Are you dynamic, enthusiastic leader passionate about improving the outcomes for all Highland’s families? Within Health and Social care, we have an opportunity for you to be part of a dynamic leadership team providing senior operational manager and professional leadership to nursing staff within Child Health.

Within the Highland Health and Social Care partnership, there are around 180 child health nursing staff working across the Highland Council area. Health visitors, school nurses and specialist nurses work alongside social work within Health and Social Care Family Teams. These teams provide community based support to infants, children, young people, parents and carer with a wide range of need. As Associate Lead Nurse you will work within Health and Social Care fostering a compassionate and caring culture, bringing enthusiasm and innovation into nursing practice and service delivery for the future. You will be responsible for the operational implementation of national, local and integrated plans for nursing staff. You will provide senior operational leadership to a designated area within Highland and hold a number of designated portfolios. You will be a vehicle for change, working closely with operational managers across Health and Social Care Family Teams ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.

Requirements

Registered Nurse, with NMC.

Current experience of advanced clinical practice and professional leadership within at least one area of scope of role and can evidence the ability to meet the competencies and leadership required at senior nurse level.

Driving for extended periods of times - frequently – 1- 2 times weekly or as required for
the post.
