Experienced Personal Assistant/Support Worker required for a young man with a brain injury from birth living in the Ryton, Gateshead area.
The young person loves Newcastle United and football, is very funny, charismatic and charming. He presents with challenging behaviour and requires psychosocial support to maintain positive behaviour. There is a positive behaviour support plan in place overseen by a Psychologist and there is a large treating therapy team.
The young person currently wishes to do bricklaying for a job and plays football in his spare time. The Personal Assistant will be expected to drive the young person to activities, participate in activities where appropriate (e.g. going out for meals, playing football). The young person requires support with their behaviour, personal care, medication and promoting their mood and wellbeing.
Working hours per week: 40 hours, comprised of 5 shifts of 13:00pm-21:00pm Monday to Sunday.
Our client seeks someone who is robust, well organised and flexible.
Rates of pay: £17.51 weekdays & weekend - £18.54 Bank Holiday.
