Summary
Detailed job description and main responsibilities To plan, implement, deliver, and evaluate nursing care within the day unit To be responsible for high standards of nursing care To assist in the auditing of patient care and service delivery To maintain good nursing documentation in accordance with trust policy To ensure safe and appropriate discharge from the Day Unit following consultation/treatment To manage and advise patients and other members of staff on peripheral and central lines To be able to interpret blood results and act accordingly To acquire, use, develop and teach additional skills eg venesection, cannulation and venepuncture Leadership To plan, organise and deploy staff according to competencies and workload To take an active part in appraisal and the setting and achieving of personal objectives Attend departmental and Trust meetings as appropriate To demonstrate an awareness of budgetary issue
