Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join Chelmsford City Council’s Building Services team to manage building projects whilst maintaining its diverse range of buildings and managing a small team of Building and Architectural Surveyors in a variety of construction related projects.

This role will provide an opportunity to become a vital link between the Premises Managers and the Contractors we have procured, in the effective and efficient management of the work involved in maintaining the many assets and buildings that the Council own. These include, amongst others: Hylands House, the Civic Centre, Riverside Ice and Leisure Centre, High Chelmer Multi Story Car Park and Chancellor Park Pavilion. The successful applicant will be project managing building improvement works, ensuring reactive and cyclical jobs are processed as well as coordinating stock condition surveys.

The role will be based at the Civic Centre Offices in Chelmsford, but there will also be a requirement to travel to sites within the district.
