Summary


This is a unique and exciting role – the post holder will be supporting the Senior Operations Manager/North Central London Integrated Care Board in leading the developments of the Liver Network hosted by the Liver & Digestive division at The Royal Free Hospital. The developments will transform the way we deliver Liver pathways from an early detection, population health, health equalities and collaboration perspective.

The role provides an opportunity to join the Liver operational team. As a Programme Manager, you will lead on the Liver network programme plan by ensuring that the core principles of programme management are adhered to whilst maintaining a focus on continuous quality improvement and value, which underpin our approach.

Experience in project and/or operational management is a must as you will be required to work across departments and all levels of the organisation to diagnose, design and deliver these improvement streams.



As Programme Manager you will be responsible for leading the Liver network developments hosted by Royal Free London. Key responsibilities:
• To support the NCL ICB team and Divisional Director for Liver & Digestive health, and members of the NCL Liver Network
• You will be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating this programme and ensuring that it is set up to deliver over a number of years
• You will need to strategically as well as operationally lead the programme, working closely with SROs and stakeholders - you will need to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Set up the project with clear plans for benefit delivery and support in the delivery and monitoring of delivery and benefits
• Support with the mapping and development of patient pathways and staffing models
• Design, facilitate and lead project management meetings and regular meetings with other stakeholders

As a Programme Manager you will have a high level of autonomy, self-drive, and will be able to manage multiple priorities and provide direction to teams to achieve the plan set out. You will need to demonstrate effective leadership skills, not only in working with a range of stakeholders to deliver change in your programmes, but in leading a project team which could be made up of project managers from Service Transformation and colleagues from wider change and support teams.

This vacancy has been advertised in accordance with the new NHS pay rate which will take effect from autumn 2024. Please note if your employment starts before the 24/25 pay scales are implemented you will be paid under the 23/24 pay scales and any backpay will be adjusted accordingly.
