Summary
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an Academic Skills Advisor to join Library and Learning Services, based in the Catalyst Building at the heart of the Ormskirk Campus. You will work as part of a team of student-centred academic skill practitioners, making a positive impact to the student experience.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
Providing 1-2-1 appointments for students to support and develop their academic skills
Designing and delivering workshops, webinars and classroom based academic skills sessions to small and large groups
Developing digital learning materials that students can access in a way that suits them

About You
As Academic Skills Advisor you will have:
Experience of providing academic skills support to students in Further or Higher Education
A student-centred approach which develops student confidence and autonomy
Ability to work well as part of a busy team
A can-do attitude and solution focussed approach
