Summary

Central London Community Healthcare Trust (CLCH) has an exciting opportunity available for a passionate and committed Childhood Obesity Trainer/Nutrition and Behaviour Change specialist to work across Ealing. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who are committed to reducing rates of childhood obesity in the borough. Candidates will need to have a strong background in child weight management, excellent communication skills and have the ability to translate nutrition, behaviour change and physical activity advice to support healthy lifestyle goals in a group setting and with individuals.
You will need to be creative in your approach in order to engage children of all ages; be confident working with groups of parents and children; and have the interpersonal skills needed to provide the motivation and support needed to help families make positive healthy lifestyle changes.
Mobile and agile working is a key part of the way the services operates, so you will need to be comfortable travelling between venues throughout the week; as well as delivering sessions online to children and families.
We welcome applications from individuals with a Nutrition or related Public Health degree along with registration to a relevant professional registering body in the UK (Registration with the Association for Nutrition or the British Dietetic Association); who are dynamic, enthusiastic and
passionate about helping families to lead healthier lifestyles.

To be responsible for undertaking basic clinical investigations following agreed protocols such as height, weight, calculating BMI and BMIz score, body composition and waist circumference
To record patient’s anthropometric measurements and other relevant details using standard recording procedure and adhering to department standards.
To lead on the delivery of a family-based healthy lifestyle programme.
To be responsible for the marketing and recruitment of participants onto relevant intervention and training programmes.
To review client’s compliance with nutritional advice previously given and goal achievement.
To provide appropriate first line advice as agreed with line manager to patients, carers, medical staff and other health care professionals.
