Summary
Medical Typists / Transcriptionist will work closely with a range of people from dealing directly with patients to liaising with other administrators to ensure that all notes are accurate. Duties include: Using the patient database to enter and retrieve information about patients and their care Typing patient appointment letters and ensuring that all relevant information is included Typing reports from Physicians and Consultants and distributing them to all recipients Checking test results and ensuring that all diagnostic data is recorded accurately Assisting with diary management, setting appointments and coordinating diaries Liaising with Doctors to ensure that all information is correct and complete Working with other Administrators to complete large transcription projects Providing other administrative support such as sorting mail, filing and answering phones Maintaining a clean and professional working environment
