Summary

At Hertsmere you’ll be working for a unique council which owns the world-famous Elstree Studios in an area rich with film, television and media connections. Located in southern Hertfordshire, Hertsmere is an attractive environment in which to live and work. It adjoins Greater London and has excellent road and rail links making London and the Home Counties easily accessible.

We are looking for an experienced and talented Partnership Parking Services Manager who shares our values and aspirations. You will be skilled at setting clear goals for delivery and driving continual improvement.

You will be responsible for two local authority parking services, managing scheme design, back office, administration and in-house enforcement. You must be able to work effectively across organisational boundaries. Your strong influencing skills and political acumen will ensure you arrive at creative and appropriate solutions. Ideally, you will have previous experience of working in a partnership environment where you will have already shown that you can effectively manage political interfaces with appropriate sensitivity.

With a deep understanding of how service data can drive performance, you will have a proven track record of both delivering on targets whilst at the same time improving customer experience.

You will be a great team player who can make tough but fair decisions with the ability to express these in a way that demonstrates care and consideration. These excellent people handling skills will also mean that you are an exceptional people manager who brings out the best in their team.

The post is offered on a full time, permanent basis (36 hours per week).
