About us
The RAF (Royal Air Forces) Association has a clear objective: to help sustain a resilient and empowered RAF community. Through our sector-leading welfare and wellbeing services, we offer a wide range of support to serving personnel, veterans and their families. With thousands of members and supporters across the UK and further afield, plus hundreds of dedicated employees and volunteers, we have the network and experience needed for a personal one-to-one approach. We work together to make sure no one is ever left behind.
About the team
Due to our continued growth, we have a newly created position for a Community Marketing Officer to be responsible for the planning and execution of marketing activity to maximise the profile of the Association at a community level and act as the day-to-day contact for community welfare and wellbeing activity, RAFAKidz nurseries and community fundraising. As part of a larger marketing team, the Community Marketing Officer will co-ordinate and drive delivery of integrated community marketing activity, campaigns and materials, ensuring strict control of compliance with brand guidelines. As the subject matter expert for community marketing, you will work closely with our welfare and wellbeing directorate, RAFAKidz Nurseries and regional fundraising colleagues to understand priorities in order to design mutually agreed activity deliverables specifically relating to our growing offer in the military community.
About you
Whilst a degree in a relevant field such as marketing, fundraising or communications is highly desirable it is not essential. Our ideal colleague will have professional experience in this sector along with a solid background in creating and delivering integrated marketing campaigns to a variety of audiences. As an excellent communicator, you will have a natural ability to impart key messages into engaging communications along with planning and executing a range of projects in parallel, balancing workloads and meeting committed timescales. We need you to have a strong working knowledge of applicable legislation and ethical codes of practice.
