NHS RDaSH Talking Therapies cover Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire and provide psychological interventions to people with common mental health problems in primary care as part of the National Talking Therapies programme.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Employment Advisor to join our NHS Rotherham Talking Therapies team.
The post holder will support service users with common mental health problems to gain, return to or retain employment. The role will involve working directly with Jobcentre Plus, employers, trade unions and employment agencies to keep people in employment and secure employment opportunities.
The post holder will manage and support a team of Employment Advisors in offering a support service to individuals with common mental health problems to gain, return to or retain employment.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the Employment Advisors (EAs) are fully embedded within the Talking Therapies teams, and ensuring that they work effectively alongside clinicians, so employment support is easily accessible.
You will also work closely with the management team, in order to empower the EAs to deliver their role.
You have a responsibility to ensure that EAs are suitably inducted and trained to perform their role. This will include managing and supervising a team of up to 6 EAs.
The successful candidate will be expected to work alongside the Communication and Engagement Officers to develop good working relationships with local employers, trade unions and Job Centre Plus.
Senior Employment Advisorsmay be required to work across the RDaSH areas to support and deliver specific pieces of work and will be expected to have a flexible approach in order to facilitate this.
