Summary
The role of the Band 6 Neurological Conditions Specialist AHP/Nurse within the Bletchley Community Neurological Conditions Specialist Team, will involve working alongside the Band 7 Neurological Conditions Specialists to assess, coordinate, plan and deliver holistic treatment for neurological patients in the community.
The highly experienced team, manage a range of neurological conditions including but not exclusive to; Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neuron Disease, Brain Injury, Stroke and Epilepsy. You will gain expert advice, support and training from our Band 7 Neurological Specialists, enabling you to develop your neurological knowledge, skills and experience.
You will gain the opportunity to work autonomously and as part of a well established team across Bletchley community neurological conditions services, working with a range of neurological specialists from varying backgrounds including Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Speech and Language therapy and Psychology. You will additionally work closely with the acute hospital neurology service, consisting of consultants and nurse specialists.

Work autonomously and alongside the clinical specialists to help coordinate, plan and deliver specific care plans/ treatments for neurological patients in the community. This could include delivering assessments and follow up appointments in various ways, including home visits, outpatient appointments or virtual appointments.
To do this, you will provide and coordinate holistic assessments and care for patients with neurological conditions.
You will work collaboratively with all members of the Neuro Clinical Specialist Team, Neuro Conditions Service, Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH) and Home 1st planned care services, as well as other internal and external professionals / services.
You will be able to offer advice and expertise to the wider multi-disciplinary team, making sound, clinical judgments to support service users, their families and their carers.
