The purpose of the post is:



To ensure the smooth running of all support functions at the Skills and Logistics Centre ensuring students, visitors and staff experience high quality services from reception, through enrolment and throughout their time at the Skills and Logistics Centre.



This role will be a front of house role working alongside the Director Skills and Logistics Centre and the Skills & Logistic Centre Manger to drive improvements forward across all College courses, at the Skills and Logistics Centre.

Person Specification

You must have a thorough knowledge of this area and significant experience of dealing with students and course-related administration.

Please study the items in this person specification carefully and when completing your application form try to describe your knowledge, skills and experience in terms of those particular items:

1. Significant experience of driving improvements in an educational or customer facing environment.

2. Experience managing a support team with a range of skills and/or functions.

3. Ability to lead and deliver training related to key back-office functions such as finance and stock management.

4. Experience of managing a budget and the ability to liaise effectively with managers and others to ensure expenditure is planned.

5. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with students, staff and visitors in person, by telephone and written correspondence.

6. Strong interpersonal skills.

7. Excellent team working and organisational skills.

8. Well-developed numeracy and literacy skills with qualifications at level 2 or above.

9. Be able to work calmly in a busy environment and during periods of pressure.

10. Be willing to undertake training and development as required within the role.

11. Possess appropriate IT skills relevant to the post, or be willing to undertake training.

12. Have an awareness and understanding of equal opportunities.

13. Have an awareness of the safeguarding and prevent initiatives.

14. Have an awareness of general Health & Safety practices.
