Role Purpose
Scottish Borders Council is seeking a highly skilled and talented architectural technologist to join the in-house Architectural Team and be part of the new Estates Division which covers all property-related functions for the Council. Workload is varied, ranging from feasibility studies to new build projects, covering all departments across the Council, other public bodies, and some external clients. The nature of the work allows individuals to have the opportunity of direct project responsibility while being part of a wider team.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with all teams within the Division, but especially with the Estates Strategy and Property Management teams. The successful candidate will support the functions of Condition Surveying, Compliance and Property Officer in these teams.

Essential
HNC / HND in Building Technology or equivalent
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability. Should it be possible to make such an adjustment in order that you can undertake the travel responsibilities of the post, this will be taken into account in consideration for this role.
