Summary
Equipment 1. To manage the Imaging equipment including the maintenance contracts, repair and modifications of all medical equipment, that is under the care of the Imaging Department in St Peters, Ashford and Woking. 2To take responsibility for devices and service contracts in ED, Angio, Cardiology, Wards, ITU, NICU, OPD-Paeds, Rowley Bristow, Theatres and Resus and the Walk in Centre at St Peters, Ashford and Woking. 3. To liaise with the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMS) to ensure maintenance contracts are in place and service dates are booked. 4.To liaise with the Radiation Physics Department to ensure acceptance testing of new equipment and yearly Physics tests take place 5. To ensure all relevant staff are trained on new equipment and have yearly refresher training and that these training records are available to staff and line managers Radiation Protection Service 1 Be responsible for overseeing IR(ME)R processes and documentation across all relevant areas of the Imaging department (X-Ray, CT, mammography, Dexa, fluoroscopy and interventional), working closely with the RPS and Superintendent Radiographers for each area. 2To ensure that local rules are in place for all Imaging equipment. 3 Be responsible for maintaining up to date entitlement documentation for Imaging staff 4Ensure all staff working in diagnostic imaging are familiar with IR(ME)R employers procedures and maintain appropriate records See attached JD for further details
