Summary
We currently have an opportunity for your to join our team as a Receptionist, based at Ripley Hospital.
We are looking for a Receptionist who is able to provide an effective reception service using verbal and written communication to liaise with patients, relatives, staff and external agencies to support the delivery of an efficient patient service and deliver an excellent ‘front of house’ image.
We are a friendly and supportive team, who are happy to support our colleagues and other teams and services and provide support and advice to all visitors and patients to ensure their time within our hospital is a positive experience.
To be responsible for the Hospital switchboard and reception area, greeting and liaising with members of the general public and other departments within the hospital, signposting as necessary.
Provide a friendly, helpful and professional service dealing with enquiries from patients and visitors and act as initial point of contact for complaints, resolving where possible or referring appropriately.
To provide administration support to the podiatry team,orthotics and orthoptics,cash handling, banking, ordering of stationary and general supplies and the sale of continence products.
To provide an efficient post room function, the distribution of incoming mail and processing outgoing mail.
Routine admin support for the site including word processing, faxing, photocopying, collating documents, ordering equipment, stock control, reporting maintenance problems.
To undertake room bookings ensuring meeting rooms are prepared for use on a daily basis.
Responsible for opening and closing the building and reception area as required.
To collate information for daily and monthly statistics as required.
To act as Nominated Officer of Fire and Fire Warden for the site.
To undertake CPR, defibrillator and first aid training as required.
To comply with Infection Prevention and Control guidelines and policies, dealing with body fluid spillages according to trust procedures.
To comply with Health & Safety guidelines and policies, reporting incidents and risks.
