Roman House is a fun and exciting residential care home in Basingstoke, supporting adults with profound learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and autism to live a life they love every day. Simon, Steph, Debbie and all the individuals we support are truly living their best lives here as they do the things they love and continue to tick off activities from their bucket lists - from going to their first outdoor music festival, to enjoying a sunny summer holiday away to Lanzarote, or having their dreams come true on a magical trip to Disneyland Paris.
As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll be instrumental in providing high-quality, enabling care, facing new challenges and rewards daily. Your leadership and expertise are key to our success. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed, person-centered support plans that promote health, wellbeing, relationships, and diversity, while ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Implement robust activity plans that encourage autonomy, new experiences, and flexibility, regularly engaging with individuals to seek their views.
- Support individuals in financial planning, medication self-administration, and regular health reviews, adhering to the Mental Capacity Act principles.
- Tailor the environment to meet individual needs, ensuring Health and Safety policies, including Fire Safety, are followed.
- Recruit and manage staff through robust induction, supervision, and training processes, ensuring person-centered schedules and personal development plans.
