We are dedicated to providing our customers with high-quality, delicious meals that keep them coming back. We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Sous Chef to join our team and assist in leading our kitchen operations.

Job Description:
As a Sous Chef at Fat Rooster, you will work closely with the Head Chef to manage the daily operations of our kitchen. You will be responsible for ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards, assisting in menu development, and supporting the kitchen team. This role is ideal for a motivated chef looking to step into a leadership position.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members adhere to Fat Rooster's standards and procedures.
* Contribute to menu development, with a focus on flame-grilled peri peri dishes and gourmet burgers.
* Ensure strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP.
* Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to ensure cost-effectiveness and reduce waste.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
* Step in to lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring smooth and seamless service.

Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
* Creativity and passion for developing innovative and delicious dishes.
* Comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
* A commitment to maintaining the high standards that Fat Rooster is known for.

Eligibility Requirements:
* Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. Fat Rooster is open to sponsoring the right candidate under the Skilled Worker visa scheme if they meet the necessary criteria.
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK will be required before employment begins.
