Summary
The Social Care Financial Assessment Team are looking to recruit a full time Benefit Caseworkers. This is part of a newly created team to assist with any welfare benefit issues of customers who have their financial affairs managed by the Financial Safeguarding Team.

The successful applicant will be required to manage a caseload of their own. You will carry out a welfare benefit check on behalf of the customer to ensure they are claiming the correct benefit entitlements, complete new and review welfare benefit claims, challenging decisions, reporting under/over payments and changes in circumstances such as fluctuating capital.

The team will be based at City Hall although you will have an agile working pattern which will include a mixture of working from the office, at home or other various locations as and when required.

You will be part of a busy team and will require excellent communication skills as well as decision making within welfare benefit guidelines.
