Summary

A truly independent insurance brokerage (I know that's rare in today's world isn't it!) who's MD previously worked at a Global broker, is looking for a Senior Commercial Account Handler to take over a position from the current role holder who is retiring soon.

Joining a small, yet highly knowledgeable team, you will be technically strong and will have cross class commercial lines experience and first-class client servicing skills.

As a senior Account Handler, you will fully support the MD with their day-to-day duties but will also get involved in various other areas of the business (which is the beauty of joining a small independent). Types of risks are typically within the SME - Mid Market sector with the brokerages main clientele being family-owned businesses up to £10million turnover. There will be the opportunity to really get involved in some different areas of a brokerage including compliance and claims. The role will also have a client facing element on occasions.

The broker has had real success taking business from the Global and large independents and offering their clients a personable service.

This opportunity would suit a handler looking to work at a local independent brokerage with exciting growth plans. Maybe someone who currently works at a Global brokerage, or even an underwriter with strong client management and technical skills who wants to move to a broker?
