For more information on the Job Description and Responsibilities please click the link below. This is a substantive consultant post in adult cardiology with a specialist interest in ICC. Exeter hosts the Peninsula genetics service and cardiology works closely with the genetics team to provide a dedicated ICC service, led by Dr Martina Muggenthaler. There are monthly inherited cardiac diseases meetings, with attendance from cardiologists from across the Peninsula and Clinical Geneticists with an interest in cardiac disease. This appointment will also provide consultant ward cover, outpatient activity and support and development of junior staff. Our cardiology department is friendly, successful and ambitious and consultants will be supported by established teams of specialist nurses, cardiac physiologists, operational and admin teams. The Trust has an electronic patient record (EPIC), a multi-million-pound research facility, a significant development budget and big plans for the future. We will support new consultants to co-design a viable job plan and to develop innovative new services or pursue research and teaching interests.
