Summary


The Estates Department operate and maintain, energy and environmental resources, controls, electrical and mechanical services providing power, lighting, heating, air conditioning to wards, outpatients and operating theatres. Estates directly impacts on patient welfare, frontline clinical care, infection prevention and control and energy efficiency and sustainability across the Estates Trust.
We have an exciting opportunity for a committed highly self-motivated individual, the Royal Marsden is looking for a Business Manager to lead the Estates Digital Asset Team in Chelsea. This is a highly valuable broad ranging role, which will expose the post holder to the whole range of Estates services including mechanical, electrical, building & energy control systems and project management. The candidate must be highly proactive and have the drive and vision to make step change improvements in compliance, covering asset management, service delivery, quality assurance. The Business Manager assists with the efficient and effective delivery of support services within the Estates & Projects Department, which encompasses all key support areas including but not limited to finance, procurement, human resources, QA, administration and information and data management.

1.1. Effective support is provided to all Estates staff and the delivery of Estates services.
1.2. Manage and supervise the performance of a team and /or individual team members.
1.3. Ongoing management systems and procedures are followed through site surveys to assess service quality and asset status in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality System and Estates process and policies.
1.4. Assist and deputies during periods of absence for the Senior Business Manager regarding HR, Procurement, QA/process and CAFM.
1.5. That Estates management information systems such as CAFM and QA processes including but not limited to financial, reports, drawings, property and labour tracking tables are being utilized and support with auditing compliance.
1.6. That the services are provided within existing budgetary parameters and to continuously look for ways of improving the delivery of services in terms of quality and financial benchmarking and information management and digitalisation.
1.7. Establish and maintain Estates compliance with all Trust policies and support and advice across both sites.
