What you'll need to succeed?
-Experience of working within a frontline housing environment
-Strong working knowledge and understanding of current housing law.
-A practical understanding of what constitutes excellent customer care, and a commitment to delivering it.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of audiences
-Good interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence people to achieve effective outcomes, and the ability to resolve difficult and confrontational situations.
-Able to ensure that cases are handed over seamlessly to colleagues
-Able to prioritise well within a challenging workload, particularly to ensure the most urgent matters are dealt with appropriately
-Able to work highly effectively and flexibly as part of a team and to support colleagues, including managers, within a team
-Able to operate effectively in a changing environment, to develop and acquire new skills and knowledge
-Able to draw logical conclusions from personal observations and interviews with customers.
-Logical and structured approach to problem solving with the ability to be creative and innovative when appropriate.
-Highly IT literate: ability to work with databases and skilled in all Microsoft packages and experience of using case management systems including (or similar to) Jigsaw and QL
-An awareness of social housing and relevant government agendas
-A high standard of verbal and written literacy and numeracy
-Ability to liaise effectively with other agencies and voluntary groups
-Ability to capture and maintain highly accurate information ensuring it is completed in a timely manner within target timescales and to maintain accurate information on databases
