Salary: Grade 8 £48,350 - £56,021 per annum

This post is full time and open ended (permanent). Relocation assistance will be provided where appropriate.

The University of Glasgow is seeking to appoint a talented and highly motivated Biological Safety Manager to manage all matters related to biological safety at the MRC-University of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research (CVR) within the School of Infection and Immunity.

The post holder will have a key role in research management focusing on biological safety issues. The successful candidate will interact with the University Safety and Environmental Protection Service, the UK Health and Safety Executive and other national and international regulatory agencies.

In addition, the post holder will act as Convenor of the CVR Safety Group responsible for safety management operations within the CVR and be part of the School Safety Committee. The post holder will play a key and active role within the CVR Containment Level 3 Management Group. The successful candidate will also take on the role of GM Biological Safety Officer for the local GM committee.
