Summary

The School of Medicine and Dentistry wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Optometry and Ophthalmic Dispensing (Optometrist) to support the delivery of the Vision Sciences educational provision and assessment of credit bearing courses in this area.
The successful candidate will have experience of teaching in Higher Education alongside experience of commercial CPD delivery. Registration with the General Optical Council as an optometrist is essential as well as a good honours degree or equivalent in Optometry plus at least two years’ post-registration experience in order to be able to supervise students in the Eye Health Clinic. A joint qualification as Dispensing Optician and Optometrist would be beneficial.
