Summary

Location: Thatcham, RG19.

Rate of Pay £12.30/hour

Part and Full time.

This is a gatehouse based security role in a busy distribution site, Daily duties include:

-To manage the movements of vehicles and personnel on/off site

-To meet and greet visitors in a professional manner

-Perform personal searches on exit (as selected by RSI)

-Undertake random site patrols

-To provide a good level of customer service to all that pass through the gatehouse

Main Duties

-Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).

-To work in a systematic, methodology and orderly way.

-To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.

-Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer.

-Comply with all legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.

Shift Details and Timings

-This site operates 24/7 security cover

-The role includes day and night shifts, and weekend working

-Day shifts are 0630hrs to 1830hrs, Night shift 1830hrs to 0630hrs

-A basic rota working six out of nine days is in place (three days, three nights, three rest)

-Flexibility is essential - This is a self cover site,where possible holidays and sickness are covered from within the team

Site Details

-Thatcham train station is a 20 minute walk from site

-The closest bus stop is a 15 minute walk

-Please note - This site cannot be reached by public transport on Sundays and Bank holidays

What we are looking for

-Previous gatehouse or distribution depot experience preferred

-SIA licence

-To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the Assignment Instructions (AI's)

-Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.

-Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment.

-To be aware of all legal and regulatory requirements as directed by Mitie and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies.

-To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.

-Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident.

Training

-Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.

-To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Security Account Manager.

-Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.

-You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.
