Summary
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our dynamic team at The Bay Medical Practice. You will be responsible for performing venepuncture to collect blood samples from patients, ensuring accurate labeling and preparation for laboratory analysis. Your role is crucial in supporting patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our practice.Key Responsibilities: Perform venepuncture to collect blood samples safely and efficiently. Provide reassurance and support to patients during the blood collection process. Accurately label, prepare, and document blood samples for laboratory analysis. Maintain patient records in compliance with NHS standards. Adhere to strict infection control and hygiene protocols. Collaborate with GPs, nurses, and other allied health professionals to support patient care. Monitor and manage phlebotomy supplies.Requirements: Previous experience as a Phlebotomist, preferably in a GP practice or NHS setting. Relevant phlebotomy certification or training. Excellent venepuncture technique and patient care skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
