Location: Whitstable, Kent

Pay: £11.54 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 - 16:30
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stores Assistant to join Warehouse and Dispatch team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that component parts are picked and kitted on time without delay to the Assembly lines, while maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the work areas. The Stores Assistant will also be required to input and read data from the MAPICS database, transfer goods safely between areas, oversee the receipt of goods into the Stores area, and pick/kit for production and dispatch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure component parts are picked and kitted on time without delay to the Assembly lines
- Prepare and complete kitting procedures
- Maintain clean and tidy work areas
- Input and read data from the MAPICS database
- Transfer goods safely from area to area
- Oversee the receipt of goods into the Stores area
- Pick/Kit for production and Dispatch
- Work within other areas of the business when required
- Comply with the Company Health and Safety policy and adhere to all relevant Health and Safety legislation
- Carry out other duties as reasonably requested
Requirements:
- Previous experience in stores management
- Ability to work accurately and quickly within defined processes
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems
