Following a restructure in our Emergency Operations Centre's (EOC), we are currently looking for Dispatch Duty Managers.

As a EOC Dispatch Duty Manager you will be accountable for the effective Leadership and Management of the Emergency Operation Centre’s Dispatch function for Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

Making decisions that are proportionate and necessary to ensure the safe and efficient Dispatch of Ambulances to the patients of Yorkshire; you will be responsible for the delivery of both the Operations and Strategic objectives of the Trust.

You will provide leadership across the virtual service, ensuring staff are fully engaged, supported, developed and that the service culture is one of continuous improvement by delivering on the key performance indicators (KPI's) for the service, ensuring effective and efficient quality of care is provided 365 days a year.

Behaviours within the role will be as important as results. It is essential for the Dispatch Duty Manager to be flexible in approach to manage the day to day running of a busy Emergency Operations Centre environment, to ensure that the service is best set to meet the needs of patients.

Duty Managers undertake the role of tactical commander in line with JESIP principles, managing any major/critical incidents that occur in conjunction with strategic commanders and Senior Management teams, at all times taking responsibility for communications relating to the incident

Interviews will be held on Thursday 5th September at Yorkshire Ambulance Service, Wakefield headquarters. Alternative dates will only be honoured in exceptional circumstances.
