Summary
The post holder is responsible for:
• Contributing to the effective control of legionellosis and compliance with legislation, by performing routine maintenance to water systems across the QTS Estates portfolio.
• Understanding the post's responsibility to meeting legislation and compliance requirements regarding communication and escalation procedures.
• Providing support to the Hard FM team by undertaking water flushing and maintenance works.
• Providing and maintaining a high quality of work to uphold the Company reputation and safeguard staff, visitors and patients.
• Accurate recording of data and immediate escalation of non-compliance/defects.
• Liaising with staff and clients on-site to perform all works effectively.
The post holder is also responsible for:
Organising their daily workload to complete the tasks in the given priorities, whilst meeting all quality standards, service level agreements and compliance requirements.
Actively role-modelling the behaviours that reflect the values of QTS.
QTS operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL). Established in 2018, QTS provides a broad range of Estates and Facilities services, spanning strategic operational delivery through to estates maintenance and repairs, primarily within mental health and community healthcare settings.
Operational
• To understand and comply with the relevant health and safety policies and standards, risk assessments and methods required to prevent hazards to themselves, other occupants of these premises, or to the public.
• The routine checks of plant and equipment and undertaking any allocated planned preventative maintenance (PPM) assessments.
• Flushing of water outlets throughout the estate, contacting each site to arrange attendance.
• Identifying outlets that are not regularly used that require flushing and flushing them to comply with legionella guidelines.
• Undertaking weekly cooling system checks and analysis.
• Closed system dosing and flushing.
• Quarterly shower head replacement and showerhead cleaning.
• Reactive work based on the current daily needs of the site.
• Updating information via maintenance software and necessary records, including signing the site logbook accurately and evidentially.
Governance
• Ensure all activity is compliant to applicable legislation, QTS governance and best practice.
• Raise areas of concern or non-compliance immediately with line manager
Communication and Relationships
• Establish professional and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external to QTS.
• Communicating to the Hard FM team of any identified defects.
• Demonstrate best practice customer service at all times.
