Glasgow Life is looking for a Swimmimng Pool Technical Advisor to join us on a 35hrs full time, permanent contract.
As a Swimming Pool Technical Advisor you will be joining our in-demand Sports Team. You will be part of a dedicated team which supports our Sports delivery across Glasgow.

The Role as a Swimming Pool Technical Advisor you will:
- Identify, plan and prioritise the maintenance & repair requirement of all our 12 swimming pools facilities.
- Manage contractors including; organising & leading site meetings; reporting on delivery against targets; and ensuring relevant re-charges are instigate.
- Work closely with the Sport Operations Managers in relation to providing regular updates on all aspects of the swimming pool operation to the Sports Operations Manager.
- Ensure repairs and PPM’s are carried out timeously and to specification.
- Analyse risk assessments and method statements and ensure that works comply with legislation.
- Conduct regular pool and plant room inspections to help maintain Technical Compliance requirements and identify maintenance needs.
- Manage pool chemical contracts, ensuring contract compliance and resilience of al relevant contracts. Monitor and review of GSS pool test results, ensuring remedial actions are carried out by the venue teams.
- Undertake regular analysis of all pool chemistry results ensuring all venues are completing and recording the results and they are within acceptable parameters and supporting venue managers on corrective measures required. Oversee the ordering of parts and chemicals for all pools ensuring consistency and stock levels.
