Summary
Job Overview
-Mitie are seeking a dynamic and experienced Crew Manager join their Fire Section on Ascension Island.
Main Duties
-The Crew Manager (CM) is responsible to the Fire Station Manager (FSM) and/or the Watch Manager (WM) for the effective daily running of the Fire & Rescue Service Crew.
-To supervise Firefighting & Rescue Operations at Structural Fire Incidents, Road Traffic Incidents, and or other related emergencies requiring the attendance of the Fire & Rescue Services.
-Provide Command & Control at all Domestic Firefighting Operations, until the arrival of the Senior Fire Officer.
-Assume the role of Sector Commander at all Firefighting Operations when relieved by the Senior Fire Officer.
-Act as deputy for the Watch Manager in during his/her absence.
-Detail the Duty Fire Service Crew to their respective positions & duties at the commencement of each shift.
-Implement Defence Fire Regulator (DFR) policy, ensuring full compliance with Operational Directives, Chief Fire Officer's Instructions (CFOI).
-Adherence to Health & Safety Regulations, within the framework provided for all Fire Service duties.
-Ensure Quality & Assurance (Q&A) policies within the Fire Service administrative structure are maintained to ensure Full Compliance is achieved at all DFR, CAPITA, STRATCOM & QSHE Audits.
-Provide Fire Safety Awareness training to all HM Forces, MOD Employed Civilians, Crown Servants.
-Liaise and work with the G3 Fire Section in all aspects of fire command, control and management.
-Work with the Mitie QSHE Team to develop and maintain the section H&S systems.
-Understand and support the Watch & Fire Station Manager in all aspects of CAPITA engagement and support.
-Understand and implement the daily PPM tasks as raised by the Mitie Asset Co-Ordinator.
-Support third party audits and inspections as required.

-Ability to understand and follow instructions, confident to speak up as required if in doubt
-Possess the ability to work as a team.
-Having knowledge of Mitie QSHE process and procedures.
