Location: Full Sutton, York
Salary: £48,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time
Hours: 40 hours per week

Join Mitie Care & Custody as a Prison Custodial Manager at the brand-new HMP Millsike, and play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, secure and rehabilitative environment. where you will play a key role in creating a safe, rehabilitative environment for prisoners. You will manage and support staff, oversee prisoner care and rehabilitation, and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and procedures.
As an PCM, you will:
Supervise, motivate and support PCO & OSG staff to deliver exceptional services.Manage staff rotas, review care plans, oversee security and safety, and effectively handle incidents.Work with various service providers, including NHS and probation services to enhance prisoner care.Maintain regular interaction with prisoners, ensuring their safety, care and rehabilitation.What you will need:
Previous managerial experience.Ideally, knowledge of prison legislation, policies, and the criminal justice system, and experience in a custodial environment.Basic-intermediate IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).Compassion, integrity, respect, and the ability to work in a dynamic, challenging environment.The vision at HMP Millsike:
