Summary

Job Description

South Lanarkshire Council Social Work Resources is looking for a visionary manager who is committed and enthusiastic with significant experience working with partners in localities to drive forward continuous improvement. You will have well developed leadership and interpersonal skills and have the ability to support and develop staff in order that services are delivered to the highest standard.

The post holder will be expected to play a significant role as a member of the Adult & Older People Services Management Team and will contribute to the planning and development of services, policies and practice within South Lanarkshire. The ability to forge and maintain effective and accountable partnership working with a range of agencies and service providers in the locality is essential. You will be responsible for ensuring that a framework for local collaborative working is in place that reflects and responds to the needs of the adult and older people population within the locality.

You will also have experience in the field of public protection and a working knowledge of managing services in line with the relevant legislative frameworks. Person centred and evidence based working that focuses on capacity building and an outcome based approach is required; as is experience in people and budget management.

Successful applicants must have experience in a front line social work management post and must hold a Diploma in Social Work or equivalent and also the Registered Managers Award or equivalent. Registration with SSSC is also a requirement of this post.
