Summary
This is an exciting role for a Transport / Fleet / Workshop Manager to join a leading Metal Recycling company based in Liverpool.
The role offers an excellent basic salary and benefits package whereby all hours worked outside of the contracted hours per week is paid overtime.
The successful candidate will oversee the in-house workshop and team of HGV Fitters to ensure the full maintenance and legal compliance of the site's large fleet of vehicles, LGV's and HGVs.
Responsibilities
* Full management of maintenance workshop staff
* Ensure full legal fleet compliance requirements are met
* Full management of external contractors for outsourced servicing and suppliers
* Negotiating prices and implementing SLA's for suppliers
* Ensuring driver defect reports are swiftly actioned to achieve road worthiness
* Oversee welding / fabricating repairs and maintenance of skips
* Planning servicing and MOT schedule for the fleet
* Provide weekly and monthly KPI reports
* Conducting interviews, investigations and disciplinaries
Requirements
* Proven track record of fleet and workshop management in a similar field
* Experience managing and developing engineers
* Excellent knowledge of fleet compliance in line with UK and EU regulations
* Full understanding of vehicle maintenance and HGV mechanical/electrical systems
* Ability to deliver reports to senior management
* Excellent commercial understanding of vehicle costings and resource management
* CPC Management qualification preferred
* Class C or C+E driving license preferred
