Summary
Our service is part of the Human Resources Directorate, we provide occupational health and wellbeing support to both Trust staff and external customers and deliver health and wellbeing initiatives in line with corporate & national frameworks.
The postholder will be expected to work in our satellite department based at Cannock Hospital and on various external client sites as required so a car diver/owner is an essential requirement.

The main focus of your role will be providing new starter clinics, assessing fitness for work and providing advice with regard to reasonable adjustments as necessary, support with infection prevention as necessary such as outbreak management following staff contact with infectious disease and providing vaccinations appropriate to job role such as MMR, Hepatitis B etc. as required. You will also be expected to support the staff seasonal vaccination campaign each year which will involve the administration of influenza, Covid 19 vaccines as required. The role will also require aligning with change as national guidance etc. changes or is updated which may result in new projects' such as new vaccination campaigns being delivered moving forward.

To be responsible for running routine new starter/vaccination clinics as directed by the Specialist Nurse Team Leader to cover the needs of the service.
To undertake pathology tests and have competent venepuncture skills in line with departmental protocols and liaise with laboratory staff e.g. virologists when appropriate.
To support outbreak management as necessary.
To risk assess and provide appropriate treatment/advice to staff following sharps/splash incidents.
Undertake management referrals in particular with regard to skin assessments.
Undertake and support health surveillance schedule as required including relevant testing such as audiometry, spirometry.
Undertake relevant training required to fulfill the role.
