Summary
The Clinical Effectiveness Lead will play a key role in leading the delivery of the Trusts clinical effectiveness programmes. This role requires individuals who are driven, ambitious and passionate about the provision of high quality, safe and effective care to patients with a desire to influence and work in close partnership with clinical and managerial staff. The key responsibility will be to support directorate teams to ensure robust systems for quality and governance are in place. To provide senior level support to Directorate clinical leads and clinical teams in undertaking quality assurance activities including, clinical audit, National guidance implementation and national benchmarking advising on topics, methodology and presentation. The post holder will work as part of the Trusts Quality Assurance Team, and work closely with the Head of Quality Assurance to lead the development and implementation of the annual clinical audit programme, NICE guidance implementation process and benchmarking To oversee a holistic clinical effectiveness processes, including horizon scanning, strategic standard-setting, efficient measurement systems, robust feedback, and the facilitation of local and trust-wide improvement To support the role of the Quality Assurance Department in ensuring that the Trust achieves compliance with national and local mandatory standards such as the Care Quality Commissions standards, the Trusts annual Quality priorities, and Quality Accounts The post holder will deputise as required for the Head of Quality Assurance The post holder will be responsible for the coordination, implementation and designation of the Clinical Effectiveness Priorities across the team and will provide leadership, guidance, direction and support to the team on the delivery of the department and team objectives. The post holder will be responsible for leading on department work profiles and will develop the annual work programme for each designated work profile. More specifically the post holder will be responsible on leading the work profiles for the following areas: Contribution to specific chapters of the Trust Annual Quality Account Clinical Outcomes and Benchmarking National Audit and Confidential Enquiries Clinical Audit Programme Review and establishment of new approach to approval and ratification of Trust wide procedural documents NICE Guidance and Quality Standards
