The role:
As a Commercial Support Advisor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on both the Prime (customer facing) and Subcontract requirements with experienced personnel within the central governance team
Day-to-day, you'll be primarily responsible for the delivery of commercial support to the Commercial Specialist and other members of the team as required.
You'll also:
- Provide/issue subcontract tenders, carry out evaluations, prepare/issue subcontracts and provide pre and post-contract award commercial administration.
- To liaise with the project teams providing commercial support, advice and reporting on a wide range of prime and subcontract issues during contract execution and close out.
- To assist and maintain the commercial point of contact to stakeholders both internally and externally, together with the provision of commercial representation at meetings.
- Work with commercial representatives to select and prioritise improvement initiatives to meet department requirements and objectives.
- Process timely responses to all correspondence and queries and provide information as required.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Commercial Support Advisor
- Knowledge and understanding of commercial / MOD contractual terms and conditions preferable.
- Previous relevant experience in stakeholder communication, problem solving and facilitating change.
- A self-motivator with good communication and organisational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate strong relationship building skills.
- Effective writing and presentation skills
- Literate in IT applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook).
Qualifications for the Commercial Support Advisor
- Educated to ONC / OND level or equivalent in a subject related to business, business law or commercial law.
- IACCM, WCC, MCIPS or an equivalent qualification preferable.
Security Clearance:
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
