Summary
A Room Service Waiter is required to join our Room Service team here at the Grand Hotel in Eastbourne
on a fixed term contract of six months
Key duties for this role include:
- To be aware of the room service menu and be able to advise guests in their choice of dishes, accompanying beverages and dietary requirements.
- To prepare trays and trolleys for guests, paying attention to detail, ensuring that guests receive the highest level of service.
- To answer the telephone, taking guest orders in an efficient and friendly manner
- To ensure all orders are charged and posted correctly
- To assist in other departments if needed, depending on business needs.
Key skills/attributes required for this role:
- Polite and personable with good customer service skills
- Well presented and impeccably groomed
- Polite and friendly telephone manner
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Previous waiting experience required
- Physically fit as some lifting is required
- A positive personality and service with a smile
