Summary

The post-holders role in the Stoke on Trent NHS Talking Therapies Service is to manage, support and develop the delivery of low-intensity treatment across Stoke on Trent. The post-holder will Hold a qualification (Post grad dip/cert) in Low intensity working Offer evidence-based practice in Low-Intensity Treatments to clients, and will Develop, support and train innovative practice to trainee IAPT psychological well-being practitioners, to other workers qualified to act in Low intensity worker roles and to Primary Care colleagues, such as health visitors, community matrons, etc., and to our colleagues in non-statutory organisations. In addition, there is a significant case management, line management and clinical supervision component to the post and this is an opportunity for qualified and experienced IAPT psychological well-being practitioners who are enthusiastic and excited by the development of low intensity services to share their interest and passion, and to develop these qualities and skills in others. The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and may be called upon to work in various community settings and psychological treatment centres. The post holder will line manage trainee low intensity workers and IAPT Low intensity workers under the direction of the Clinical Lead.
